Contrary to popular belief, core training is much more than simply working your six-pack. Great core training takes into consideration the deep connections between the muscles of the rib cage, abdominals, lumbar and thoracic spine and pelvis. In this class, you will add more progressive techniques to your basic core training and learn how your body mitigates force and works as a unit. Anyone can benefit from this class: Athletes looking to enhance their performance, weekend warriors who want to protect their bodies from injury, and any individual with occasional aches and pains. This is an intermediate level class. We recommend starting with Core Fundamentals
Tuesdays @ 6pm
Featuring classic Pilates that has been modified for individuals with movement restrictions of extension, this class will enable you to achieve greater function within your window of mobility. Recommended for clients with a history of stenosis or facet arthritis.
Wednesdays @ Noon
This is where it all begins. In this class you will learn the basics of ground-based core movement. Focus is on the use of appropriate muscles, proper alignment, awareness of body position, and an introduction to integrative strengthening. All of these are essential for higher-level training.
Thursdays @ 6pm
Featuring classic Pilates that has been modified for individuals with movement restrictions of flexion, this class will enable you to achieve greater function within your window of mobility. Recommended for clients with a history of herniated disc.
Fridays @ 8am
Designed to teach the basic principles and patterns behind Centurion’s unique approach to movement enhancement, this class will create a foundation of strength and stability. You will learn how to achieve optimal form during exercise in many different positions, and ultimately to perform higher-level exercises with less risk of injury. Recommended for students of all ages and levels of experience.
